Public Memorial Service for Capt. Phil Harris webcast on Friday April 30

As a fan of Deadliest Catch it’s hard to watch this season and not miss beloved Captain Phil Harris.
On Friday April 30th the Discovery Channel will honor Captain Phil with a public memorial service. For those of you who cannot attend the service will broadcast at 6:30p PT/9:30 p ET at www.discovery.com/catchconlive or www.ustream.tv/deadliestcatchlive.
The service will include remarks from Phil’s son Jake and Josh Harris, several close friends, fellow fisherman, and Discovery Channel representatives.

On May 1 Discovery Channel is hosting CatchCon, the ultimate Deadliest Catch fan experience in Seattle. An interactive webcast will air from 12p PT/3p ET to 6p PT/9p ET at www.discovery.com/catchconlive or www.ustream.tv/deadliestcatchlive.
Notable events include a captains’ panel featuring Deadliest Catch captains Sig Hansen, Johnathan & Andy Hillstrand and Keith Colburn; boat tours; a Crew Strikes Back panel; and interviews throughout the day. Fans will be able to have their questions answered by captains, crewmembers, and take part in fan trivia.
