Jake Pavelka was paid $20,000 to appear on Bachelor Pad 2 for four episodes, reports Star Magazine.
The magazine spoke with former Bachelorette star Craig Robinson for the scoop on Jake!
From the September 12 2011 print issue of Star Magazine:

Bachelor Pad is sending Jake Pavelka packing – but he absolutely isn’t walking away empty-handed! An insider tells Star that the former Bachelor was paid a pretty penny just to participate in the series – and was even guaranteed to survive several eliminations!
“Members of the house were so shocked that Jake did the show,” says former Bachelorette contestant Craig Robinson. “Then they found out he got paid a ton of money to come back, and it was obvious why he was there.” Jake insisted that he came on board in order to finally make amends with his former fiancee, Vienna Girardi but many of his castmates were skeptical. “I don’t believe he was there to apologize,” says another reality insider. “He was there to a put a Band-Aid on his image and make a buck at Vienna’s expense.” And Jake sure did make out nicely. “I heard he was given $20,000 to appear on four episodes of the show,” Robinson adds.
Contestant Kasey Kahl, Vienna’s current beau claims producers projected Jake to keep the ratings up. “They thought it’d be great to keep up the love triangle going,” he tells Star. But the under-the-table deal didn’t please Jake’s castmates. “It was total crap,” the inside says. “They changed the rules to keep Jake on the show. They even sent two girls home instead of losing him, which is just plain wrong.”
Seems not all is fair in love and war after all!
Bachelor Pad 2 continues Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
