Addison tells her therapist about how she took way too many classes when she started college. Sam picks up his sister Corinne (guest star Anika Noni Rose) from jail, the shrinks have her all medicated up. Sam calls Addison and she sees that Corinne is basically a walking zombie. Sam explains that it’s been 20 years since Corinne cut off her whole family; to the point that they all thought she was dead!

Violet and Scott (guest star Stephen Amell) are still boning, as a young girl Denise (guest star Allison Miller) brings in her baby brother Eli to the hospital. She explains their mom is a druggie and she was neglected as a kid too and the same thing is happening to Eli.

Erica (guest star A.J. Langer) starts her chemotherapy but tells Charlotte that she still doesn’t want Mason (guest star Griffin Gluck) to know about her cancer. Amelia asks to be removed from the surgical rotation as she needs more time to research Erica’s condition.

Eli’s condition is serious. He needs methadone and surgery but he’s too young as Pete finds his mother Melissa (guest star Amy Landecker). Melissa admits she’s finally clean and wants to help her son. Addison calls in Child and Family Services.

Amelia offers Erica a trip some experimental treatment but she refuses. Violet confesses that Scott is rocking her panties off and Addison admits that she tried with Dr. Hot (guest star Benjamin Bratt) but he turned her down.

Sheldon suggests stopping Corinne’s medication to see what she is like off of them. Dr. Hot tells her that it’s not her job to help Sam and being friends isn’t the best idea for her. Elsewhere, Scott and Violet are making out at the hospital as Pete wanders by mumbling about them getting a hall pass.

Denise freaks out when she sees her mother at the hospital, as they fight Eli crashes and is rushed to surgery! Mason is getting upset with Charlotte about not being able to see his mom so he trashes his dinner and runs away!

Pete’s quietly freaking out about seeing Violet and Scott necking in the hallway as he’s trying to focus on Eli.

Charlotte calls Cooper to say Mason’s gone missing! Sheldon’s working with Corinne who is feeling better without her meds. Sam joins the session, as Corinne needs to go to the can. When alone Sam explains that Corinne was always the life of the party until she started to get sick. One time she almost burnt down the house after Sam put out the fire, she wanted to kill herself! Sam is drained so he asks to continue tomorrow. Charlotte finds Mason on the street and he cries that he thinks his mom is dead as when his nana went into the hospital, she never came out.

Later Addison goes by to see Sam, but they just end up smushing! Dr. Hot knew this could happen…gez Addy! Mason finally gets to see his mom and the two cry it out. When it is all over, Addison dresses to leave but Sam says to stay but she’s outta there since nothing has changed.

Elsewhere Eli is recovering as Melissa promises Cooper that she isn’t going to make the same bad choices again. At the practice, Violet explains to Cooper that Pete’s being an asshole since they broke up. Cooper defends his friend but Violet admits that she’s just boning Scott and it’s not going anywhere.

Charlotte explains to Erica that Mason is starting to lash out and she needs to tell him the truth. But Erica thinks it’s not time…yet. Pete takes Melissa’s side as the social worker explains that they will follow whatever Cooper decides. Amelia ‘s sure her brother Derek in Seattle can help Erica!

Cooper talks to Denise about forgiving her mother as Cooper has decided that Melissa deserves a second chance with Eli. He explains that her mom and Eli are going to need her help for a long time. Violet explains that she is just boning Scott and Pete admits that he cares about her. Addison, Pete, and Cooper wish Melissa well as Denise and her mom make up.

Amelia and Charlotte explain to Erica that if this surgery in Seattle goes well, she’ll be cured and won’t have to tell Mason that she was dying.

Addison comes into the lunchroom as Dr. Hot sees that she and Sam boned by the way they are acting. He says that he didn’t see it coming, and maybe Addy’s not serious about having a baby. He’s totally disappointed!

Corinne is finally feeling better and is actually reaching out for Sam as he cries for the sister he misses.

Back in therapy, Addison explains that she was totally stressed that first year of school and even failed one…but she loved every minute of it!

And next week in a two hour crossover event, they head to Seattle where they only have 90 seconds to remove Erica’s tumor and Derek isn’t sure his sister isn’t stable enough to perform surgery.
