They spoke to ELLE Magazine exclusively for this interview!

On how it’s easier tackling their ventures as a duo:
“We are perfectionists. We always wanted to be closely involved with everything, totally hands on – that’s why it works. If we step away, it stops working.”
On refusing to share certain clothing items:
“There are some items we get a little possessive about.”
On not being obsessed over their outfit choices:
“I sometimes wear sweatpants on a plane,” Ashley said before her sister added, “I’m not very aware of trends or hot new items. We’re not cool.”

Tory Burch is featured in the Spring 2012 issue of Philadelphia Style Magazine.
In the issue Tory talks what makes Philadelphia women so fashionable:
“Women love clothing that’s not so complicated. They want to be fashionable, but they are also very active, doing a lot with their kids, so they want to be comfortable. When I go there for the weekend [Burch’s mother recently moved to Haverford], I love our clothes because it’s so easy to just throw something on and put things together—casual chic.”
Tory talks her fashion shows being similar to planning weddings:
“It’s like getting married twice a year. It’s this huge shooting plan, and we work a year in advance and it’s a tremendous amount of work, and then it’s over in nine minutes and then you wait for the reviews. I oversee everything. We have a great design team. I give them direction, talk about colors and fabrics, we do that all together; then we talk about shapes and silhouettes, and they come back and present things, and then we edit.”
What’s next for Tory? Afte wrapping her last fashion show on Feb. 14, she ‘s currently working with Estée Lauder to launch a fragrance in 2013.

Kat Von D‘s previous clothing line was such a success in 2010 that she recently launched a brand new collection!
According to Glitterati-Gossip, Kat’s new 2012 Spring/Summer collection is called Treasure Coast and launched on February 14.
The line features lots of simple dresses, cut-out tops, fringe detailing and leggings.

Fashion designer Nicole Miller is featured in the September 2011 issue of Philadelphia Style Magazine.
It’s the mag’s special fashion issue.
In the issue Nicole talks her fall 2011 collection:
“I have some really great coats in the Fall collection. I am always interested in the newest fabric; I think I was the first designer to get into metal fabrics, for example, and I have always been interested in how to take prints to another level. But it is only recently that the industry caught up to what I wanted to do.”
She also talks holding her own along with celebrity fashion lines:
“There are so many celebrities being designers and socialites being designers, it is not enough to just sit back and design clothes anymore. You have to be out there and on top of everything nonstop. The world has changed, and you have to keep up with the world.”
Miller will unveil her Fall collection on September 12 as part of The Philadelphia Collection, a 10-day series of fashion events around Philadelphia.

UPDATE Bijan sadly passed away, according to TMZ
Jimmy Delshad, former two-time mayor of Beverly Hills, confirmed the news via Twitter: “It is with sadness in my heart that I share the terrible news of Bijan passing away. May he rest in peace.”

Fashion superstar Bijan Pakzad is in hospital in L.A. tonight after suffering a stroke reports TMZ.com.
According to sources Bijan was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medial Center Thursday evening. On a Facebook post Friday night, Bijan’s son Nicolas said his father had “a stroke.”
The 67-year old remains hospitalized, and according to Nicolas … Bijan is “in critical condition.” Bijan — a legend in the fashion and perfume biz — famously suits up movie stars and world leaders. His Rodeo Drive boutique is known as the most expensive store in the world.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Pakzad family, and towards a speedy recovery.
