The legendary Queen of Disco–Donna Summer passed away on May 17.
She was 63.
According to TMZ, Summer died of lung cancer.
Her family released a statement: they “are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”
Summer was in Florida at the time of the death.
She was a 5-times Grammy winner and is best known for ’70s songs “Hot Stuff,” “Last Dance,” “Love To Love You Baby,” and “Bad Girls.”
Also ’80s tunes “She Works Hard For the Money” and “This Time I Know It’s For Real.”
She married singer Bruce Sudano in 1980 and the couple have two daughters together.
