Elijah Wood is featured in the July 2011 issue of Nylon Guys.
Here are some excerpts from the interview:
On first receiving the script for Wilfred: ”I read it and was like, ‘wow, that is genuinely the funniest think i’ve read.’ And I’d certainly never seen anything like it on American television before.”
On having friends who aren’t in Hollywood: ”I gravitate toward people I connect with, whatever walk of life they’re from.”
On his mom teaching him how to cook: “Because of her I don’t feel like a fool in the kitchen.”
On people’s first impressions of him: “I meet people and work with them and they say, ‘God you’re so nice and personable and approachable,’ as if it’s a big surprise. But it’s like, What do you expect me to be? Just because I’ve been lucky enough to have a certain amount of success and be recognizable, that doesn’t make me any better or any different. I’m just being a person- the only way I can conceive of being is cool to people.”
Elijah will be next seen in the FX series Wilfred premiering June 23rd. He also is voice talent in the Happy Feet sequel which opens in theaters on November 17th.
