Mark Ruffalo is featured in the May 2011 issue of Details Magazine.
In the issue Mark talks spending his childhood in the woods:
“I grew up in a classic suburban housing development, but on the edge of a forest. Those days in the woods were pretty magical for me as a kid. Your imagination can run completely wild, you can be whatever you want, whenever you want, and the days are just endless.”
He also talks how he’s training to be The Hulk/Bruce Banner in The Avengers:
“No, no, no. Look, I’m eating guacamole and potato chips….You think Tom Cruise does this?”
Mark also talks quitting acting back in 2009:
“I’d had it with L.A., and I really had it with the business side of acting, the machinery of it all. You’re an artist, but then all of a sudden you’re a product at the same time, and there’s this company that’s sprung up around you. I got depressed. I was losing my love for it. So I said, ‘I’m done.’ I fired everybody and moved my family.”
We’re glad Mark returned to acting, he’s so fab!
His new film Margaret co-stars Anna Paquin and releases this year. He’s currently filming The Avengers co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson. The film opens May 4, 2012.
