Kate Winslet is featured in the April 2011 issue of Vogue UK Magazine.
In the issue Kate talks about being a single-mother:
“[It's an] empowering thing; experiencing those moments of being alone is a very, very weird flooring and exposing position to be in when you’re just not used to it. And it’s not just being in a relationship. It’s also the fact that I grew up in a family full of people.”
Kate’s next TV project is the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. She plays a single mother who rebuilds her life after a separation with her husband in the Great Depression. The miniseries premieres March 27 at 9PM e/p.
Her new film Contagion is directed by Steven Soderbergh and co-stars Matt Damon, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Laurence Fishburne. The film releases October 21st.
