Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones is featured in the March 2011 issue of Gotham Magazine. The March 2011 issue is also the mag’s 10th Anniversary Issue.
In the issue she talks about when she wanted to quit acting five years:
“For someone who was going to quit acting five years ago, this is all so unexpected. I was probably going to go back to school, maybe get a degree in public policy or law.”
Rashida’s the daughter of music mogul Quincy Jones and model Peggy Lipton, and she talks about not using their fame to get ahead:
“When I see my parents’ friends and they are so happy for me, it seems they’re almost too happy now, because I didn’t call them for favors. They didn’t have to try and help me because I did it on my own.”
Her new film My Idiot Brother co-stars Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks. The film was released at Sundance in January 2011 and will have its theatrical release on July 22.
