One of child stars from Slumdog Millionaire unfortunately lost her family home in Mumbai, reports CNN.
Rubina Ali played the younger Latika in the Academy Award-winning Slumdog film.
On Sunday Rubina told CNN, “There was fire everywhere, there was so much chaos, my house was completely burned down, the whole slum was burned down.”
The 12-year-old took as much as she could before her home was destroyed. She says, “But my awards are gone, my memories are gone.”
Rubina and her family plan to move into a new home through a trust set up by Slumdog director Danny Boyle.
