A new episode of Chuck aired on October 4th and in case you missed it, we’ve got a recap of what happened:
“Chuck Versus the Cubic Z”
Hugo Panzer played by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is being transported by armed men to a top-secret facility aka a cell in the Buy More. At the store, there’s a game launch in the works and people are lined up waiting as it’s the biggest game launch according to Morgan who’s wearing a suit as he tries to be the manager. The new Greta played by Stacey Keibler talks with Morgan and Chuck. Chuck tells Morgan he’s got a flight to catch with Sarah to Monaco.
Casey and Sarah are fighting/training/boxing with one another as Casey talks about his daughter Alex. Sarah talks about her “future” with Chuck and she says she “can’t imagine kids right now.” The General tells to say her trip with Chuck to Monaco is cancelled. Sarah’s happy with the news, Chuck not so much. She tells Chuck they need to talk. Hugo along with Heather Chandler played by Nicole Richie are being held in separate cells at the Buy More.
The game launch is in 40 minutes as Morgan gives Lester & Jeff a pep talk about their appearance. Big Mike returns and refers to Morgan as family. He tells Morgan he wants to propose to his mother and asks Morgan permission to marry his mom. Big Mike stays to help out with the game launch. Mike leaves as Morgan gets a phone call and the store will only get 6 copies of the wanted video game.
Sarah wants to talk to Chuck about their future but he flashes on Heather and finds out she was connected to Frost and may know information about his mom. So Chuck decides to get info from Heather despite Sarah’s warning. Heather wants witness protection in return for info about Chuck’s mom. Heather learns Chuck and Sarah are a couple. Sarah tells Chuck to not let Heather get under his skin. Heather gives couples advice to Chuck and Sarah. Meanwhile Hugo stabs a guard and leaves his cell grabs a gun and aims at Chuck and Sarah but they manage to escape. Volkoff organized the plan for Heather and Hugo to be transported together as her previously deal went sour and Volkoff’s mad.
Back at the Buy More there’s 18 minutes left till the launch and Morgan enlists Casey’s help who gets a call from Sarah about Hugo escaping. At the CIA office in the Buy More, Greta is confronted by Hugo and he talks to Casey. Hugo issues a lockdown and opens all the cell doors as Casey works from his locker to override the Castle mainframe. Casey pulls the fire exit in cell 6 where Heather, Sarah, and Chuck can escape before Hugo gets to them and escape just in time. Hugo follows them as the climb in the air ducts.
The game launch has begun as people make their way into the Buy More. Morgan gets a call that they store will get 2 games available. Sarah, Heather, and Chuck are out of the air duct. Heather tells Chuck she married a dork just like him. Heather says Sarah is all spy and has no real life. Hugo finds them and attacks Chuck as Heather tries to escape, her and Sarah fight. Chuck flashes is able to fight off Hugo who falls down a shaft. Sarah fights off Heather. Back at the game launch Jeff & Lester try to calm down the crowd with a poetry slam.
Hugo’s still around following Chuck and Sarah but is confronted by Casey with a gun. Sarah, Chuck, and Casey are on the roof of the Buy More waiting for a helicopter to transport Hugo and Heather. Sarah tells Heather it’s her last chance to reveal info about Chuck’s mom, but she doesn’t say anything useful. She tells Chuck she’s rooting for him but not betting on him. The helicopter arrives with Volkoff’s men instead of CIA agents. Hugo makes his way back inside and Chuck follows him. Casey gets shot by Volkoff’s men. Sarah and Heather join forces to get rid of Volkoff’s men.
Jeff & Lester continue to try and subdue the angry crowd who just want to buy the game and leave. Chuck confronts Hugo, they fight. Chuck flashes and fights Hugo. The crowd at the Buy More has turned into a mob. Big Mike’s engagement ring as gone missing as Morgan searches the floor for it. Morgan comes clean to Big Mike about the ring. Big Mike takes care of the crowd, Morgan looks for the ring. Chuck gets beat by Hugo, who storms through the Buy More. Big Mike uses the disco stick to subdue Hugo.
Casey tells Sarah he will take a break from the CIA after his gunshot wound. Heather says she met Frost on Operation Beacon, an underground pipeline. “Frost was always around Volkoff,” Heather says. Heather admits to Sarah they are not the same person but questions whether or not Sarah loves Chuck.
Cleanup at the Buy More is underway, the place got trashed during the game launch. Morgan tells Big Mike he couldn’t find the ring but offers his the position of Assistant Manager instead. Morgan tells him he has permission to marry his mom. The ring gets swept away and falls down the air duct shaft.
Chuck and Sarah are finally having their talk. She says when he mentioned kids it scared her. She realizes she not a cold spy like Heather but wants to take things slow with Chuck and he agrees. They will move “super slow.” The ring falls on the ground by Sarah and Chuck and he gets picks it up on his knee and shows it to Sarah. Catch 22: should he just blow it off or actually purpose to Sarah??
