A new episode of The Bachelorette aired on Monday Ali and the final three traveled to Tahiti for overnight dates, with some drama mixed in. Here’s what happened:
Frank makes a pit stop in Chicago prior to Tahiti
So before jetting off to Tahiti, Frank travels to Chicago to see his ex-girlfriend Nicole Caruso. Frank tells her he’s supposed to be in Tahiti and Ali doesn’t know about her or that he’s in Chicago.
Nicole tells him she doesn’t feel complete without him and that he needs to come home. The two talk to out and seem to patch things up quickly, basically indicating to the viewers that Frank chooses his girlfriend over Ali. Frank says now that he’s talked with Nicole he needs to tell Ali that he’s in love with someone else and he has to leave.
Roberto and Ali in Tahiti
Ali and Roberto meet up in Tahiti together as the sparks fly between them. They take a helicopter ride and they land on a heart-shaped island. Roberto says he feels like ”things are moving in the right direction and proposing is right around the corner.”
Since the date is just the two of them, Roberto and Ali both feel at ease. They spend the day swimming together and lots of kisses then they spend a romantic dinner. During dinner Roberto says he’s falling in love with Ali.
Ali offers Roberto the fantasy date card and he accepts. The both act like a real couple like they are actually dating. There doesn’t seem a dull moment between them.
Chris and Ali in Tahiti
Ali and Chris take a boat ride together on a 75-foot catamaran. Although their relationship started off slow in the beginning, things are now heating up between them! Chris says when he’s with Ali ”it’s easy to forget about everything, she just has that personality where you kind of like drawn in and nothing else matters.”
The boat docks off a private island (nice) at sunset and the couple find a couple of pearls. They have a romantic dinner on the beach and share great conversation with a couple of kisses. During dinner Chris says he really can see himself with Ali forever.
Ali offers Chris the fantasy suite card and he also accepts. They both seem a lot more comfortable with one another as their chemistry continues to build.
Frank breaks the news to Ali in Tahiti
Frank without glasses, confesses to host Chris Harrison that he went back to Chicago to see Nicole. He said he told Nicole that he’s in love with her and she loves him.
Ali originally planned a day of sailing for her and Frank, but that does not happen. Frank arrives in Tahiti telling Ali they need to talk.
The two share a pretty emotional conversation with Frank leaving and Ali is left devastated by the news. Unfortunately for Ali, Frank’s still in love with his ex or his girlfriend. Ali tells Frank she ”can’t believe this.”
They both acted with class and Ali held her head high despite the news. This incident just made Frank look like the bad guy. Jeez Frank, not cool!! Poor Ali, she didn’t even have friends around to talk to about her upset from Frank!!
So who went home??
Frank pretty much eliminated himself when he chose Nicole over Ali.
Rose ceremony
Ali tells Roberto and Chris that Frank went home to deal with stuff that he didn’t deal with. So they both are now the final 2. She presents both guys with roses.
